Good Night Prayer. God is in our home

Good Night, eternal God,

full of grace and love.

We sleep quiet and confident

because you are in our home,

we live under the shadow of your wings,

under your protection, refuge and blessing.

Tonight I pray

that you put your peace in my heart

that nothing or no one

cause anguish or despair,

put serenity in my thinking,

I beg you to help me

to keep believing in you,

that in the midst of all you're in control.

Thank you, Lord, for your peace

that is more powerful than all anxiety.

Lord, protect us from danger

to all of us in this house,

protect us by your blood,

that nothing disturbs our sleep.

may we have a good tomorrow, Amen.
